Share your location with new intelligent location sharing for Android Hangout App

Google has updated its text, video and voice messaging app Hangouts, adding all the new features added to the Android – including intelligent, one-tap location sharing.
The app automatically detects when a contact in a text chat asks where you are, and allows you to share your location with a single tap without you needing to hunt around in a map, drop a pin and send your position. Previously you might have had to email them an address or a link to the location on Google Maps.

Google Senior Vice President, during a recent official announcement about updates to Google Plus and Google Plus Hangouts said: “How many times have you been in a conversation with a friend and the question has come up. Where are you? Well, starting today you can answer that question with a single tap.”

Version 2.5.0 also allows you to add your phone number, and to import your phone contacts into the app. Status messages allow you to share what you’re up to or how you’re feeling. You also have access to sms and voicemail messages from your Google Voice account.
You can also share your current location with the people and circles you choose across Google products such as Google+ and Google Now.

You can share your pinpoint or city-level location, and you can share different things with different circles. For example, you can share your precise location with family, but share only what city you’re in with your co-workers.
